From the moment we began shooting, their connection was undeniable. The way they steadied one another, laughed in sync, and locked eyes—silent but meaningful—made their love feel straight out of a classic early 2000’s rom-com.

They first met while working at Starbucks during college (yes, a literal rom-com beginning) and got engaged in Fort Wayne last fall, where they’ll also be married later this year. Once they decided on a longer storytelling session and heard that I travel, they asked if I’d be willing to meet them somewhere meaningful for their engagement photos. Then we ended along the shores of Lake Michigan, where the soft wind and golden evening light added a carefree, organic feeling to their images. The whole session felt like a movie: beautifully composed yet completely, unmistakably them.
