So you’re in the final countdown to the biggest day of your whole life?
You and your love are finally here and I am so happy for you! But I also know that the little tiny things that you can’t take care of until the last minute add up SO quickly and can be daunting when you think about the growing mountain of lists. I’ve rounded up some tips from every part of your day – some of these you can check off now, you may want to put a reminder in your phone to complete others. I want to make sure you walk into your wedding day fully equipped to set the stage for the best photos possible!

Have your officiant step back during your first look for that classic shot free of distraction or awkward faces! I recommend you ask your officiant to stand behind the best man or maid of honor to ensure they are out of the way!
Have your officiant ask family to stay in the ceremony space after you exit so everyone is together for family photos.
Appoint someone (or a few someones) to take your things to your getaway car. It’s your wedding day, you shouldn’t be the one carrying out suitcases 10 minutes before your send-off! Ask a bridesmaid or a groomsman to help you before the day of so that you can relax and focus on enjoying your reception!

If you’re doing bride and groom (whether individual or together) photos before your ceremony, make sure to wear your wedding rings! There’s nothing like blowing up your wedding photos or taking ring photos, only to have the jewelry you’ll be wearing forever missing! Sidenote, don’t forget your veil, bouquets, belt, hairpiece, or any other important or sentimental items for photos!
Ask your bridesmaids to be content creators for you for the day! While your wedding gallery will be beautiful, being able to look back at your wedding through the eyes of your loved ones the night of is priceless!
And if you want someone by your side who’s captured countless weddings and knows how to keep things peaceful, intentional, and focused on romanticizing the moment instead of stressing over it, I’d love to hear from you!
